O.k. – so it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything to my site. That’s because I did end up getting a car ride (daddy sneaked up on me and I was in the car before I knew what was happening) and we went to a new house. I like it a lot better than the other one! More room to roam and hide. Stairs to play on. I like to be outside, too. There are a couple of other cats in the neighborhood, but they leave me alone. A lot of chipmunks in the yard. Mommy keeps saying I need to go hunt them. Why should I? I don’t feel like it.

So, my favorite spot is to lay on top of a box in the dining room. I’m up high and can see out the big window. Mommy says this box is going to go away now that the dining room is painted and furniture can be moved in there. Guess I’ll have to find a new spot.

Mommy is weird. She keeps talking about how I’m gonna have to go on a car ride in a few days. Something about “if you want to continue to live with us….”  blah, blah, blah.  I just tune her out and chew on my foot.  I don’t do cars. She knows this. Maybe she’s been in my catnip.

Today I helped mow the yard.  Keeping the tractor cover warm is an important job.

Today I let a neighbor dog know she was not welcome on my front porch. She thought she was so cute and wanted to play with me. How lame. I swatted at her nose. Later today I looked absolutely fetching in one of my classic poses on my guard wall in the back yard. Then I batted an ant around the back patio. Yeah, it was a good day today.

I have discovered the coolest place to guard my back yard – on top of that tractor thing.  Nobody really expects me to be there, so I can surprise the neighbor cats.  Which I have done several times already.  They must be taught that this is MY yard.

Oh boy!  I had a great weekend!  Monica was here so I had another person to love on me.  I took a nap with her, then a nap with Mom, then a nap with Dad, then another nap with Mom.  Snuggling is a wonderful thing.

There were so many people in my house today, but none of them stopped to love on me.  They were all working in that little room. Why are they in there? Making noise. Making a mess. They call it a “bathroom”, which is a place I heard is like my litter box. So I pooped in there. Mommy was not happy about it. What’s the big deal? Isn’t that what you’re supposed to do? They need to make up their minds.

This is how I am dealing with all the construction going on around here:  curled up on mommy’s coat on a dining room chair.  Where’s my head?

Today there was more banging and loud noises in that little room again.  I guess there is nothing I can do about it, so I decided to sleep on the big bed and sometimes watch to make sure everything is done right.  Whatever it is that is being done.  The hole in the floor made a funny noise and I put my head down in there to see what was going on.  Daddy told me that I might not want to do that.  Said something about ending up in a septic tank.  What’s a septic tank?

It is too noisy around here.  It disturbs my beauty sleep.  Humans are coming and going in and out of my house, tearing down walls, banging on things, and it smelled funny for a little while.  I decided to sleep on the bed with the towel on it and mommy came in a told me that was the best place for me to be so that’s where I stayed.
